DCS Reference: Stores List

This is a (reasonably) complete list of all stores that can be equipped on airplanes and helicopters in the DCS Mission Editor. Often, only abbreviated names are used in the loadout screens, which may leave the poor mission designer to either pick the wrong weapon for a unit or, worse, have to consult Wikipedia or the ED forums.

Over the years, some ambiguities in names and available loadouts have crept in, in particular in the many various rockets and in some of the more obscure or unique aircraft. This list represents an untested but thoroughly referenced list of what ordnance does what, and what plane can carry what ordnance. Occasionally, the built-in loadouts in the editor will have slots filled with equipment that can no longer be manually assigned for one reason or another.

  1. 1.0 1.1 The short/medium/long descriptions are deliberately vague and only really relate to other weapons of a similar class or category. For a (slightly) more precise description of the various ranges, see the Missile Ranges page.
  2. 2.0 2.1 2.2 While the AV-8B could previously mount this maverick variant, and while older missions may still use a loadout containing it, it is currently not available in the AV-8B loadout screen.
  3. 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 This weapon can under some circumstances be be buddy-lased using code 1113, but the availabeility (and reliability) of this functionality depends on the aircraft.
  4. 4.00 4.01 4.02 4.03 4.04 4.05 4.06 4.07 4.08 4.09 4.10 4.11 4.12 4.13 The number signifies the bomb weight in kg.
  5. 5.0 5.1 5.2 5.3 Can be buddy-lased using pilot-selectable code
  6. 6.0 6.1 See the separate submunitions table for payload options.
  7. 7.0 7.1 The LAU-68 has a thermal shielding that the LAU-131 lacks, but this has no in-game effect. The difference is purely aesthetic.
