DCS Reference: Stores List

From Airgoons
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a (reasonably) complete list of all stores that can be equipped on airplanes and helicopters in the DCS Mission Editor. Often, only abbreviated names are used in the loadout screens, which may leave the poor mission designer to either pick the wrong weapon for a unit or, worse, have to consult Wikipedia or the ED forums.

Over the years, some ambiguities in names and available loadouts have crept in, in particular in the many various rockets and in some of the more obscure or unique aircraft. This list represents an untested but thoroughly referenced list of what ordnance does what, and what plane can carry what ordnance. Occasionally, the built-in loadouts in the editor will have slots filled with equipment that can no longer be manually assigned for one reason or another.

  1. 1.0 1.1 The short/medium/long descriptions are deliberately vague and only really relate to other weapons of a similar class or category. For a (slightly) more precise description of the various ranges, see the Missile Ranges page.
  2. 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 While the AV-8B could previously mount this weapon, and while older missions may still use a loadout containing it, it is currently not available in the AV-8B loadout screen.
  3. 3.0 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.5 3.6 3.7 3.8 Can be buddy-lased using pilot-selectable code
  4. 4.0 4.1 4.2 4.3 This weapon can under some circumstances be be buddy-lased using code 1113, but the availabeility (and reliability) of this functionality depends on the aircraft.
  5. 5.00 5.01 5.02 5.03 5.04 5.05 5.06 5.07 5.08 5.09 5.10 5.11 5.12 5.13 The number signifies the bomb weight in kg.
  6. Ostensibly the “AC” variant with anti-tank munitions, the BLG-66 in DCS essentially uses Mk-20/CBU-100 weapons code and does negligible damage to any hardened target.
  7. 7.0 7.1 See the separate submunitions table for payload options.
  8. 8.0 8.1 The LAU-68 has a thermal shielding that the LAU-131 lacks, but this has no real in-game effect. For aircraft capable of using APKWS, these are carried in LAU-131 launchers.
  9. 9.0 9.1 9.2 9.3 While the rocket can hit targets from a relatively long distance depending on release altitude, attitude, and slant angle, its effective range is limited by sensor resolution and guidance battery life. See the Missile Ranges page for more information.
  10. Should be capable of taking advantage of buddy-lasing using a pilot-selectable laser code, but current implementation limits it to self-lasing only.
