Reactor Strike PG

Time: 0530

Situation - Despite negotiations lasting over a year, Iran has continued enriching Uranium at a Nuclear research facility attached to power plant located east of the Bakhtegan Lake. Recently in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran has boarded two ships despite being in international waters. Iran has also test fired a new type of medium range ICBM and blatantly stated that Israel could be a target in the future. The US President has ordered Iran’s nuclear ability to dealt with swiftly and secretly approved an airstrike on the Nuclear research facility. Intel has learned that one of the EWR sites near the coast has been damaged due to an electrical fire and is out of commision for repairs. That will be our way in. IF YOU ARE DETECTED BY RADAR, you can expect fighters to be scrambled from every possible airfield to intercept you.

Task - Route around EWR detection rings to get into Iran. Medium altitude is advised, not too fast as you will need every ounce of fuel to escape. Luckily the enemy has F14’s so your silhouette won't be too foreign, just don’t get low enough on ingress for the populous to see your markings. Your IP waypoint is in a valley east of the target separated by a small ridgeline. This will give you a great pop up opportunity on the target for least amount of detection time. Waypoint Surface Target will of course be the target. Once you strike the target, make best speed as low as you can, to waypoint 2 of the coast. Once you’re feet wet, head to the carrier, or tanker depending on fuel state. A friendly Ticonderoga class warship will cover your withdraw. There are also some F-14’s escorting the E2 Hawkeye that may help cover your withdraw.
